Tender for the operation of medical services in Hadsel Municipality

Hadsel kommune

The Medical Services in Hadsel are currently divided between three offices, two in Stokmarknes and one at Melbu. In addition, there is a branch office at Hennes that is manned one day every other week. The doctors are employed by the municipality on different contracts. Some get a fixed salary with a bonus system based on their own turnover. Others are self-employed, which means that they retain their own revenue and pay a subsidised monthly rent to the municipality. The Municipal Council in Hadsel has decided to put the operation of their GP practices out to competitive tendering. Through this process the award authority hopes both to reduce the scope of the municipal organisation, and to reduce municipal costs significantly, without lowering the level of service offered to the users.
It has been decided that the operation shall be organised as one unit, with one office located in Stokmarknes, one at Melbu and a branch office at Hennes, to be operated to the same extent as before. The offices shall initially have space for three GPs plus any interns placed in Melbu and five GPs plus any interns in Stokmarknes. The tender includes the necessary premises and complete operations, including personnel management, on behalf of the municipality. The operation shall comply with the requirements of applicable laws and regulations, with particular emphasis on the requirements of the general practitioner regulation.
