Tender 2013 - Library system

Awarding authority
Nordland county (hereafter called the awarding authority) shall procure a library system that shall be used in the sixth form colleges that the county is responsible for. There are currenty 17 sixth form colleges with a total of approx. 10 000 pupils, 300 vocational students and 1 400 employees. Further information on the user group is in annex 1 of the tender documents.
The need a library system is wanted that is future orientated so that it can include future new technological developments. Furthermore it is important for the awarding authority that the system is efficient to use. Further information on the requirements for the system is in the Contract for the procurement of a library system that is available as an annex in Mercell under the tab 'documents'. See the contract annexes as well. The requirements for the operation and maintenance service are in the Contract for operation and maintenance. The award criteria that will be used to rank the tenders in the competition are available from Mercell under the tab 'criteria'.
The contracts
Two contracts shall be signed with one and the same supuplier, including a contract for procurement and a contract for maintenance and operation of the library system. The contract relationship will be followed up by a library resource centre that comes under Bodin sixth form college. The contract terms are in Mercell under the tab 'documents'. Interested tenderers are encouraged to study the contract terms.
The awarding authority draws particular attention to the fact that ordinary operation shall be started in November 2013. The responsibility for operating the IT system shall lie with the supplier.
The awarding authority shall always have the latest version of the library system.
The contract for operation and maintenance of the library system is for an unlimited period. The parties have a mutual right to give notice on the contract with 3 (three) months written notice before each calendar year expires. The supplier cannot however give notice on the contract in the first 3 years.
