1. Procurement content
Avinor AS is a state-owned company with the task of operating 46 state-owned airports in Norway. Avinor is committed to expand and develop the existing airport at Flesland, Bergen situated about 12 miles south of Bergen, on the west coast of Norway. The current Terminal at the Airport was originally built in 1988 for 2.7 million passengers / annum (MPPA) and at present serves 5.5 MPPA. Avinor is now committed to design and build a completely new Terminal adjacent to the existing Terminal which will serve 7.5 MPPA and capable of being expanded to 10 MPPA and beyond.

2. Scope of work
The following glazed facades and roof lights form the major elements of the supply:
East Façade
111m long, 20 m high: An inward sloping, double glazed system, top hung and supported in a tensioned cable system on a 3m grid, fixed between steel trusses along the top edge of the façade and reinforced concrete beams along the base of the wall provided by others. As part of this scope, flexible seals and interfaces shall be provided between the adjacent north and south gable walls and around entrance carousel doors. Supporting structure in top and at the base is to be supplied by the contractor for 80301.
West Façade
182m long, 10 m high: A double skin facade comprising two double-glazed walls supported by an internal steel framework connected and reinforced at 3 levels with grating maintenance catwalks within the void between the glass facades. The steel framework is supported on two steel beams along the base and is held at the top by a steel section between the main steel trusses. The façade has interface details around 5 fixed passenger boarding bridges, to the north and south facades and to the pedestrian bridge over to the existing Terminal. The façade is ventilated through automatically controlled hinged units at the top and base of the facade. Entrances shall be provided to the maintenance areas in the void at the interfaces with the fixed passenger bridges.
Sections of the north and south façades
23-34m long, 17-19 m high: 818m2 A top hung facade fixed to the underside of floor in the Office Block and to a steel section at the interface with the horizontal glazed roof. The glazing is stiffened horizontally by steel sections at 1600mm centres supported from support columns for the Office Block and angled steel columns in the gable wall of the Pier and central Terminal building.
Glazed roof
1 520 m2. The roof is supported on steel beams at 1 500mm centres fixed to the steel roof beams and roof trusses in the Pier and Central Terminal building. Movement joints shall be provided at the interfaces with the main roofs at the rainwater gutter locations. Other interface points are the Office Block facades, the roof over the passenger security checkpoint and the angled walls of the Pier and Central Terminal building. The automatically controlled sun shading for the glazed roof will be integrated with the adjoining facades.
There may be an option for a service contract after installation.
