This acquisition is for the procurement and construction contract which consists of two subprojects, 17493 Roald Amundsen upper secondary school - new addition and rebuilding, and 17494 Roald Amundsen upper secondary school - indoor climate system. The projects will be treated as separate political matters with their own budget funds, but within this acquisition shall be executed as a single contract, and by the same contractor.
Project 17493 includes a new extension that is approximately 960 m2 and a construction that is approximately 630 m2. The property developer shall start the detail planning of the new building immediately after the contract is signed, and is estimated to start in the spring of 2013. The construction work for the new development can then be assumed to start in the fall of 2013, with a completion date at the beginning of August 2014. The rebuilding section will be taken concurrently with project 17494, which will commence at the end of the school year in June 2014, with a final completion date at the beginning of August 2015, but the first reconstruction phase can start simultaneously with the new building, in the autumn of 2013. School operations within the affected areas will then be moved into the barracks / existing school buildings. Some construction activity during the summer holidays in 2013 will be required, see phase-/interim plan.
Project 17494 includes the indoor climate system project for existing school buildings, 6,410 m2 + 298 m2 pavilion, including the reconstructed area. It will also include the construction a new ventilating casing of approx. 375 m2 on existing roofs. The project shall be completed for the start of the school operations at the beginning of August 2015, and carried out simultaneously with the conversion of project 17493, ie, starting at the end of the school year in June 2014, but the first phase could start simultaneously with the construction of the new building in the autumn 2013.
