Project fv 78 Halsøya-Leirosen, section leg Ømmervatn

The existing fv. (County road) 78 between Halsøya and Leirosen have poor geometrical standard and poor passability. It is therefore decided to replace the existing road with a new road. The project is divided in 4 sections; Halsøya - Hjartåstunnelen, Holand - Brattlia, Brattlia - Leirosen and leg Ømmervatn.
The works for the sections Brattlia – Leirosen, Halsøya-Hjartåsen and Holand-Brattlia are already in process. The described works in this tender contest apply for the section leg Ømmervatn.
The contract includes engineering design and construction of the section from Crossing E6 Ømmervatn and until connection to new Fv 78 at Drevjamoen. The works involve construction of approx. 8340 m road with a road width of 7, 5 m. The section also includes 2 new bridges: Hattelva Bridge shall be approx. 50 m long and shall be in approx. Profile 330 to Profile 400. Komra Bridge shall be approx. 45 m long and be in Profile 7560 to Profile 7610.
In connection with this contract, an area for use as a borrow pit on the right hand side of the road in Profile 4650 to 4850 has been subject to regulation. This borrow pit shall, subsequent to removal of rock, be used as deposit for temporary and permanent storage of excavation residues.
Most of the section shall be constructed within the existing gravel road alignment. Approved local plans are available and are the basis for the construction works. Geotechnical reports for the section have been prepared.
