Procurement of RFID-equipment and -portals

This procurement for RFID equipment and RFID portals shall result in two separate framework agreements, on for the purchase of RFID devices (and services) and the other RFID portals. The combined procurement value is estimated to approx. 1 million NOK ex. VAT. over four years.
The framework agreement is has an initial duration of two years, with the option of a two-year extension, making the maximum duration four years.
The National Library has approximately. 200,000 Items marked with first-generation RFID tags. These pieces are of a foil 20, C220 manufactured by Tagsys. They communicate with a radio frequency of 13.56 Mhz. Since 2006, we have switched to Generation three, and here we have tagged about half a million object with this technology.
