P-182943 Frame agreement runway lights works with the replacement of tarmac

This acquisition shall be valid for 3 years from and including 2014, with an option for call-off works for an additional 2 years (3 years, plus 1 year, plus 1 year).
Oslo Lufthavn AS conducts regular resurfacing of their flight operative tarmac areas. Asphalt works shall be performed through a separate contract. With the replacement of tarmac there is a need for the removal of runway lights before the works begin, and for the re-establishing of the runway lights after the replacement of the tarmac is completed. The runway lights luminaries are mounted in separate pots (shallow base), which are cast into the taxiways and runways.
Before the milling of the asphalt starts: The runway light luminaries shall be disconnected and removed. The cables to the luminaries shall be pressed down into the conduit runs under the pots. The conduit runs shall be sealed with rubber foam. The pots shall be drilled up and removed.
After the completion of the milling / and before the asphalting: The area around the luminaries conduit runs shall be filled with a little bit of sand. The intention is that the new asphalt shall release more easily against the under surface when a new hole is drilled for the pot.
After asphalting: There shall be drilled up a 12" hole and a new pots shall be cast down. The light luminaries shall be connected and mounted.
There are approx. 300 tarmac light luminaries, which from experience, included of resurfacing every year. The works tend to start in mid- May and can continue for as long as is feasible in terms of the weather. The contract includes the delivery of some equipment which includes the runway lighting pots and plow protection (adapter rings) for the luminaries. Other similar works may apply.
For larger scale works and projects for the tarmac area, which can also include resurfacing and the associated tarmac lighting works, OSL reserves the right to advertise their own competitions
