Operation of medical services in Hadsel municipality

Hadsel kommune

The Municipal Council in Hadsel has decided to carry out competitive tendering of the operation of the medical offices in the municipality. By competitive tendering Hadsel municipality, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, wishes to reduce the size of the municipal organisation as well as considerably cost reduction without deteriorating the service for the users.
It is decided that the service shall be organised as one unit with one office localised in Stokmarknes, one office in Melbu, a branch office at Hennes. These offices shall provide the services in equivalent extent as existing services. As a starting point, the offices shall have three regular GPs plus possibly Foundation Doctors located at Melbu and five regular GPs and possibly a Foundation Doctor located in Stokmarknes. The tender contest includes necessary premises and complete operation, including personnel management on behalf of the Awarding Authority. The operation shall comply with the requirements in relation to prevailing laws and regulations with emphasis on the requirements given in the Regulations regarding the regular GP scheme.
