The assignment includes passenger transport services, including ordinary transport of students, individual adapted school service, Adapted transport service for physically disabled (TT transport) and ordinary transport service with mini buses in accordance with orders. The geographical area is divided in 15 sections.
In certain cases, students in the primary and lower secondary schools and upper secondary schools have rights to regular or temporary transport between homes and schools. Compare the Act relating to primary and secondary education. This applies for students with either long way to school, dangerous way to school or permanent/temporary disabilities/illness. The assignment includes school transport for students unable to utilise transportation through the ordinary transport service and with home addresses in one of the transport areas.
The assignment also includes transport requirements between education locations internally in the municipality. Initially, the assignment includes all students living in the transport area with right to transport services. However, the municipalities have the right, but are not obliged to utilise the agreement for students in the municipality responsible for the transport service. The contract also includes adapted transport service for physically disables in the relevant geographical areas, as well as ordered transport services in accordance with the attached schedules for each of these areas.
