New combat aircraft base - engineering group 2

The acquisition will lead to the entering into a major contract for the design of a number of buildings and constructions in connection with the establishment of a new combat aircraft base for the Norwegian Armed Forces. A large operational planning / engineering contract has already been entered into which is directly related to the F-35 and the related operational activities at the base and another engineering contract related to noise measures will be later entered into. The present agreement shall in principle be able to cover the combat aircraft base for Forsvarsbygg and the overall residual demand for engineering services. Bids are requested from engineering groups which cover all skilled trade, for further information about this refer to the tender documents. The design is related mainly to projects in Ørland and possibly also some of the Evenes. The design shall firstly include the preparation of solution Document (LD) and a pre-engineering document (FD) and with options for a detailed project and monitoring during the construction period and during the warranty period.
At present, the assignment is composed of the following localized subprojects (not supplementary):
— Facilities for a joint rig (offices, possibly quartering etc.).
— Administration building / offices.
— Teaching areas.
— Sports hall.
— Officers quarters.
— Crew quarters.
— Housing (including possibly regulation work outside of the base).
— Other, smaller buildings that are not defined at present.
— Infrastructure associated with the above mentioned building and construction works.
The assignments are assumed in the first stage (4-6 months) to include the elucidation and the design for rigs, quarters / lodging and housing for officers. From the start and up until 2014 it is believed that it is necessary for the design of additional housing and other buildings. The full thrust of the design in connection with this notice is not expected to occur until Q3 of 2014. The final plans for the remaining construction is not concluded at the present. The buildings and constructions that are planned under this agreement is expected to have a total investment volume of over one billion Norwegian kroner.
