Maintenance stoppage – boiler revision project 2013

Returkraft AS

Returkraft AS yearly revision will take place in week 37 and 38, (production will be stopped September 8th and is scheduled to start up again September 22th). The boiler will first be cleaned inside by means of bang cleaning and sandblasting by other company.
In connection with the annual revision, a competition will be arranged for the task of boiler work specified in item 1-6 and execution of assignments as stated in this document.
The work has to be planned in detail together with Returkraft revision management in order to have the correct timing and needed spare parts for the work. The supplier needs to adhere to the Returkraft requirements regarding safety instructions.
The job is not completed until Returkraft has approved the assignment.
Boiler Information:
The boiler is a FBE boiler that was started up in 2010.
The boiler capacity is a 16,9 kg/s of steam at 50 bar and 425 °C. It consists of grate firing system. The evaporation part of the boiler is consisting of three vertical passes for flue gas. All of this is water filled panels with boiling water at 50 bar, self circulating flow of water and steam. There is a horizontal part with hanging tube packages. The first of these packages in the horizontal pass is evaporation, while the rest of the packages take in saturated steam and make superheated steam. There are attemperators that spray water into the superheated steam in order to keep constantly 425 °C on the steam that goes to the turbine. In the end of the forth pass of the boiler there are an economizer.
The total overall dimension of the boiler is: Heigth 26 m, length 45 m, width 7m (4 m in forth pass).
1. Boiler, reporting of overall status and recommendation for further work 2014 (including steam and water system connected to boiler),
2. Grate revision including feeder,
a. Cleaning on and under grate,
b. Changing broken grate elements,
c. Change leaking/worn water hoses,
d. Check/repair all the total grate table,
e. Waste shaft inspection/repair,
3. Slag pusher including wear plates,
4. Wet scraper under grate, inspection repair,
5. Oil burners revision.
