The solution is comprised of three functions, and the solution should appear as a unified solution within at latest six (6) months after signed contract. The solution may consist of one or more application from the prime candidate and/or subcontractor(s).The core functions that need to be addressed are as follows, the list is not exhaustive:*BMGR: Bone marrow register for Norwegian donors.Donor file for voluntary bone marrow donors recruited in Norway and Iceland. Algorithms for matching and sorting of HLA genes in conjunction with search for unrelated bone marrow donors.— Sorting of donors by given criteria.— Development of data management for “active” donors.— Generation of various files, such as invoice files, donor files for Foreignregisters.— Follow up systems.— Documentation— Communication and data sharing between different registries through*EMDIS(More information available at www.emdis.net)*HLA Laboratory— HLA-typing, cross-matching and antibody screening in connection with transplantation of solid organs and stem cells (bone marrow), research and disease studies.— Integrated tracing and storage database.— QA-control of processes in the laboratory.— Include waiting lists for recipients waiting for future transplantations ofsolid organs.* NyreBase (Kidney Base): Used in clinical departments by surgeons and doctors.— Needs to have information for follow up on kidney and pancreas transplantpatients and registration of some clinical information in connection withtransplantation.The divisions that will use these solutions have national responsibility and international accreditation.The Laboratory software systems for TI (Transplantation Immunology) supply the basis for the international accreditation they have. Due to international cooperation within the field of transplantation of solid organs and bone marrow the solution will need to support criteria and standards determined by the EU, the European Federation of immunogenetics (EFI), the World Marrow Donor Association (WMDA), the Bone Marrow Donors Worldwide (BMDW), and the National Marrow Donor Program (NMDP).The solutions for the HLA laboratory at TI should be laboratory information- and management-system, with an integrated e-biobank (storage and tracing).The type of information the current HLA laboratory collects, include data on HLA-typing, HLA antibody testing, cross-matching blood group and virus registering, transplantation waiting lists, and Scandia transplant registering. Furthermore, BMGR is also currently an integrated part of the HLA laboratory. It is therefore essential that the solution for the HLA laboratory and BMGR system is very well integrated and can share and report demographic- and HLA data between them.The HLA laboratory is also in direct cooperation with the Division for Kidney Medicine and the application NyreBase (Kidney Base) is essential in this work. The NyreBase application presents information from the HLA laboratory for kidney medicine. In turn, the application performs registration of clinical data for kidney transplantation and follow up information. User friendly interface(s) and good usability is important for the customer.The acquisition of the solution should to the highest degree possible be a united solution for the core functions mentioned.The final solutions that are acquired should be in the form of software for end users and administrators.
