Group Contract Borge comprehensive school

Fredrikstad Kommune

The municipality of Fredrikstad has plans to build a new comprehensive school, to replace the existing Borge comprehensive school. The address is Borgenveien 74.
The existing school consists of four separate buildings (A building of classrooms, a special room building, an administration building and a gymnasium) all of which were built in 1964 - 65 The gymnasium was completely renovated during 2005-06 but must, as part of this project must be adapted in accordance to universal design.
A new school shall be sized for 500 students and 70 employees.
The sketch for the new school has been prepared on the basis of a program evaluation prepared by
the builder in collaboration with users. The planned projects includes the school buildings with a gross area of approximately 7320 m2, a partially rebuilt gymnasium and a partial new construction of the schools outdoor area of, approximately 45.000m2.
The building of classrooms, the special room building, and the administration building will be demolished before the construction work begins. The caretakers Housing and barracks are to be used by the school during the construction period and shall be removed when the new school is ready for occupation.
The construction will will include all procurement and construction.
The pre-project and the tender documents shall be prepared by RIB, RIE, RIV, RIBR, RIAKU, IARK and PGL. It is assumed that the group taking the project forward until the contracting phase on the basis of the tender documents.
