Statens vegvesen Region vest

Ringveg Vest comprises a new 4 lane road between Flyplassvegen and Liavatnet in Bergen. Approx. 80 % of the road shall be built in the tunnel. The first construction stage, which was opened in 2010, comprises the stretch Dolvik - Sandeide with an under-water crossing of Nordåsstraumen. The construction work in construction stage 2 is divided into 2 contracts:
— K20 Sandeide – Liavatnet (AF Gruppen Norge AS);
— K27 Lyderhorntunnelen, upgrading (not contracted).
This contract, K26 Electrical and SRO (operation, control and surveillance) comprises construction stage 2 Sandeide – Liavatnet, as well as technical upgrading of Lyderhorntunnelen. The lighting and control systems for phase 1 shall also be upgraded.
The contract also includes operational maintenance responsibility for the whole of Knappetunnelen, both construction phases 1 and 2, and Lyderhorntunnelen until Lyderhorntunnelen is open for traffic and handed over.
