FSP FLO IKT 2013 001 "Multiple Independent Levels of Security Operating System (MILS OS)"

Norwegian Defence Logistic Organisation Communications and Information Systems (NDLO CIS)

The purpose of this procurement is to enter into an agreement to acquire an operating system (OS) for use as platform for secure applications.
The OS must be a Multiple Independent Levels of Security (MILS) Operating System (OS), designed to meet CC EAL5 or higher with security functionality according to U.S. Government Protection Profile for Separation Kernels in Environments Requiring High Robustness (SKPP) or equivalent. It shall also be architected to meet the requirements of a DO-178B Level A certification.
The OS must be able to run on a “off the shelf”-hardware that the NDLO CIS can purchase in the market.
The Norwegian Armed Forces has a policy of limited variants of platforms and applications, and it is relevant to acquire this MILS OS for use as platform for other secure applications within the Defence sector.
In addition the NDLO/CIS will enter into a maintenance and support agreement for the abovementioned MILS OS.
The duration of the contracts in this procurement will be 10 years.
