Field work and preparation of data for 7th round of the European Social Survey (ESS)

ESS is a questionnaire that addresses various social conditions in Europe. The survey was previously conducted six times. Data collection was conducted in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012. Data collection for the 7th round is planned for autumn 2014. Over 30 countries have participated at least once in ESS. Norway has participated in all rounds.
The purpose of ESS is to obtain good-quality and reliable data for research purposes such as:
— European attitudes and values and how these change
— showing how changes at the group level is related to institutional changes
— have a high degree of comparability between European countries
— creating understanding of the use of social indicators to assess quality of life in different European countries.

Beskrivelse av opsjoner:
There is an option for the Research Council to extend the contract for completion of the 8th round of the ESS. Tentative time period is January 2016 to August 2017. It should be noted that the Research Council's possible use of the option implies, among other things that no significant changes will be introduced in the requirements for data collection method.

Vilkår for deltakelse
Egnethet til å utøve yrkesvirksomheten:
(1) Company registration certificate.
(2) Value added tax certificate (National requirement)
(3) Company tax certificate (National requirement)
(4) Self-declaration in compliance with Appendix 2 (HSE) of the Norwegian procurement regulations (National requirement)
The supplier shall be a legally established company.
The supplier shall have his affairs in order with regard to tax and value added tax payments.
The supplier shall have a functioning HSE system.
Økonomisk og finansiell stilling:
Credit evaluation/rating, not older than 1 year, and based on the most recent accounts. The rating shall be performed by an approved credit rating agency. The Research Council will also be able to obtain their own credit evaluation where appropriate.

A brief description of the supplier's implementation capacity (for that type of work) and capacity in accordance with Section 3.1 attached.
