Evaluation of the local church's system

The main aim of the evaluation is to produce a basis for assessing the need for reforms of the local church organisation. The need for reform must be considered in relation to that of § 1 in the Church Law, which is formulated as the purpose of the legislation, "... to facilitate the active involvement and a continuous renewal of the Evangelical Lutheran church in Norway." In recent years several studies, consultations and evaluations of major and minor elements have been executed for the local church organisation. A comprehensive review and analysis of existing material will therefore be an essential part of this evaluation. The following reports and hearings should form the basis of, or be included in, the survey: - AFI-report 2012, Work, health and commitment among employees in the Norwegian Church - Evaluation of the reorganisation of the priesthood (The Dean report), 2013 - Church system after 2013 - Material from the Church Council's reflection process, 2012/2013 - Material from the hearing in connection with the Gjønnes Commission (NOU 2006: 2). There are also other relevant reports from KIFO and from KA Church employers and interest organisation. The department will assist in obtaining relevant information. Nevertheless, there is a requirement for the service provider to collect new material for use in the evaluation. (NT Ref:290249)
