EØS 043 and 045-2012 Heating and sanitary plant for upgrading of Holen and Flesland treatment plant
Bergen kommune
During the next 3 years Bergen municipality, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, shall expand and upgrade four of the largest mechanical sewage treatment plants in the municipality.
The following plants shall be subject to upgrading:
- Ytre Sandviken sewage treatment plant.
- Kvernevik sewage treatment plant.
- Holen sewage treatment plant.
- Flesland sewage treatment plant.
All plants are located in rock. In connection with upgrading of the plants, new rock halls/transport tunnels will be blasted. In the rock halls cast for new reservoirs for purification of sewage water shall be executed and various rooms for technical installations, etc. shall be established. Contracts have been awarded for implementation of rock blasting and construction engineering works in Holen sewage treatment plant and rock blasting in Flesland sewage treatment plant.
The qualification documents apply for prequalification for participation in the tender documents for the following contracts:
V3.1, Heating and sanitary system, Holen sewage treatment plant (EØS 043-2012).
V1.1, Heating and sanitary system, Flesland sewage treatment plant (EØS 045-2012).
Tender documents for V3.1 and V1.1 are expected to be distributed during week 32/2013. The contracts are entered into in accordance with NS8405:2008. Any alterations and specifications are given in the tender documents

Per 15.05.2013 the extent of the relevant contracts is as follows:V3.1 - Holen sewage treatment plant:*Delivery and installation of the sanitary system for the treatment plant, with i.a. securing water for consumption with refracted water surface, wet wells, flushing posts, fire water, etc. New installations shall be connected to the existing plant.*Furthermore, installation of complete water borne heating system to new areas, existing personnel wing and changing room facilities. The system shall be connected to the existing heating plant.*The Awarding Authority will also require reconstruction of the existing heating centrals with heat pump. The heat pump shall obtain heat from purified sewage water. The exchanger shall preferably be a pipe exchanger with good access for cleaning.It shall also be facilitated automatic cleaning of the exchanger. Heating of ventilation, heating and hot water for consumption in the treatment plant. The dimensioning output for the heating central is approx. 650 kW.Date for execution: October 2013 - April 2014.V4.1 - Kvernevik sewage treatment plant:*Delivery and installation of the sanitary system for the treatment plant, with i.a. securing water for consumption with refracted water surface, wet wells, flushing posts, fire water, etc.*A new heating plant comprising electro boiler, heat pump and recovery systems which obtain surplus heat from blowing engines and compressed air compressor.
