"Dr. Fridtjof Nansen" - Replacement vessel

The Norwegian state has decided to build a new research vessel which shall replace the existing research vessel named “Dr. Fridtjof Nansen”. Like the existing “Dr. Fridtjof Nansen”, the new research vessel will be owned by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad) on behalf of the Norwegian state. The Institute of Marine Research will be the vessel's operator.
The scope of the contract:
Build, equip and deliver one research vessel with a length of 74, 1 m with the following DNV classification note: DNV + 1A1, E0, ICE-C, SPS, DYNPOS-AUT, NAUT-AW, COMF-C(3)V(3), BWM-T, TMON, RECYCLEABLE.
