The existing county road crosses the railway in level with the railway tracks. This project includes construction of a new crossing with overpass bridge south of the existing crossing.
The project involves construction of an approx. 800 metres new road, construction of a 50 metres foot and bicycle bridge and a new carriageway bridge with a length of 130 metres. An approx. 220 metres retaining wall with a height from 5-7 metres shall also be constructed.
In addition, several smaller retaining walls shall be constructed. It is poor soil conditions in the area which means that foundations for walls and columns must be piled in rock. Construction of a new access road to the arrivals parking to Heggedal Station.
Establishment of a provisional safety tunnel over the railway track where the new carriageway bridge shall be constructed. Due to this, the contact line to the railway must temporarily be lowered.
For the Norwegian National Rail Administration the existing arrivals parking shall be upgraded and a new park situated north of the station building shall be established.
For Asker municipality, a new water and sewage system for the affected area shall be constructed
