IVAR IKS, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, requires annual inspection of the lifting equipment so that it can be approved in accordance with laws and regulations as well as comply with the Awarding Authority's HSE requirements. It is necessary to carry out this procurement in order to pursue the inspections in such a way that the Awarding Authority's lifting equipment continues to comply with statutory requirements and that the risk of using lifting equipment is as low as possible as well as eliminating dangerous equipment.
The procurement shall ensure that the annual inspection is conducted by qualified/approved personnel (controllers). The inspection includes lifting equipment at the Awarding Authority's plants in the company's catchment area, as well as the plants in municipalities where the Awarding Authority has operational liability; Time, Strand, Kvitesøy and Rennesøy municipalities. Presently, annual inspections are conducted of 541 units registered in the Onix Equipment portal. Most of the equipment subject to inspections is registered in this portal. Any new equipment and equipment not registered in the portal shall also be controlled.
