Oslo municipality, the Agency for Water and Sewage, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority supplies the capital with drinking water and manage the sewage water. The activity is financed through water and sewage fees.
The Awarding Authority is responsible for operation, maintenance and renewal of the city's treatment plants as well as the pipeline network and pumping stations for both drinking water as well as sewage water. The Awarding Authority also supervises the Bekkelaget treatment plant which is a private company, and cover's Oslo's share of the expenses to the intermunicipal Vestfjorden Avløpsselskap (VEAS).
Other vital tasks are administration of water source areas, inspection of the city's waterways, guidance and information to customers, subscribers and the society in general. The activity is regulated by a number of laws and regulations. The Law regarding Municipal Water and Sewage fees, the Pollution Control Law and the Regulation regarding Water Supply and Drinking Water are particularly important.
The Agency for Technical Preparedness (ATB) requires assistance in connection with asphalt cutting, concrete sawing/drilling, spiking reinforced concrete, etc. in i.a. the streets of Oslo. The agreement may also be utilised by other departments in the Awarding Authority.
Several major and minor projects are executed by the Awarding Authority itself. For most of these projects asphalt cutting, concrete sawing/drilling, etc. will be required.
Estimated value of the agreement is 2 300 000 NOK over a 4 year period. This is an estimate only and not binding for the Awarding Authority
