Information of Awarding Authority: The Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection‘s (DSB), henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, head office is located in Tønsberg. The Awarding Authority has approx. 250 employees. The National Electrical Safety Authority's (henceforth referred and abbreviated ELS) primarily duty is to contribute to increased preventive work related to general society security and electrical safety in particular.
The Division for electrical installation in ELS is premise provider in relation to electrical safety in Norway. The division prepare and administer the regulation related to the electrical safety area where the Regulation regarding Electro businesses and qualification requirements for works related to electrical installation and electrical equipment (abbreviated FEK) is one of the central regulations. The division also forms the professional frames for inspections which are organised in 5 nationwide region offices.
The objective and scope of the procurement:
The Awarding Authority wishes to strengthen the capacity related administration of the Regulation regarding Electro businesses and qualification requirements for works related to electrical installation and electrical equipment (abbreviated FEK). The Awarding Authority therefore requests assistance in considering applications from foreign electrical trade professionals who wishes to work with professions in Norway regulated by FEK.
Request for assistance will vary from 1 day to 4 days per week, dependent on number of applications. Initially the tenderer must provide assistance 4 days per week. The contract also includes necessary training for conducting case considerations. The costs related to training shall be divided equally between the Awarding Authority and the tenderer. It is a requirement that the work is imitated ASAP prior to contract signing and preferably within 1.3.2014, at the latest.
Contract period:
The contract period is one year with option for 12 months prolongation.
Description of the assignment:
Tasks:
Consider applications from foreign electrical trade professionals wishing to work in Norway.
Personal qualities:
— Analytical with ability to holistic approach.
— Ability to constructive team cooperation.
Ability to efficient and precise communication
— Good in counselling and communication.
Competence:
— Electrical engineer or equivalent.
— Electrician with experience from the profession.
— Experience in project and/or research work.
— Good oral and written descriptive power both in Norwegian and English.
— Knowledge of public administration.
— Work place:
The Awarding Authority provides office accommodations at the main office in Tønsberg. The works shall be conducted through remote access. The quoted prices shall include travelling time.
