Server software for virus control of Exchange. The contract shall include maintenance in the first year, with an option for maintenance for the whole of the contract period.
UDI would like tenders for the following products:
SYMC Mail Security For MS Exchange Antivirus - Number: 1000.
SYMC Messaging Gateway Content Encryption 9.5 - Number: 2200.
Maintenance costs are to be priced for the above mentioned products for years 2, 3 and 4 of the contract period.
The contract is for 1 year with an option for 1+1+1 year. The contracts maximum length is 4 years including options. Suppliers are asked to enclose a draft for the contract.
Tenders must be submitted in a sealed envelope at the awarding authority's address. Tenders submitted by e-mail will not be accepted.

The announced competition for the specified software is based on the software being installed at UDI's operational supplier. The operational supplier requires virus software from Symantec to be used on Exchange that they operate for all their customers. When the operational contract was announced on Doffin, virus software on servers or client was not required to be a part of the competition. This is the reason why UDI requests tenders of specified virus software from Symantec. (NT Ref:256389).
