Primary school Tjeldstø - Turnkey contract

Øygarden kommune

Øygarden municipality shall construct a new primary school at Tjeldstø in Øygarden municipality. The site is situated in open countryside with large open areas and a good distance to the nearest buildings. The school shall be built as a "one-parallel 1st to 7th year school". The concept is a two floor building volume in an angle that opens out towards the existing football pitch and towards the pupils' outside areas. The school's gross area is 2 600 m². There will be steel supporting constructions. The floor dividers will be concrete hole covering elements. The walls will be light non-carrying constructions.
The project will be carried out as a turnkey contract. The turnkey contract basis is a continuation of the competition proposal that won after a restricted design contest. It is a prerequisitie that the awarding authority's contractual relationship with the architect and landscape architect is transferred to the turnkey contractor. The turnkey contractor will engage the other consultants himself.
