Øyer kommune

The general contract includes construction of a new primary school for Øyer municipality. The building shall be constructed as a 1 level building with entrance in 2 levels. The school building shall have a developed basal area of approx. 2 178 m² as well as a basement with an area of approx. 940 m².
In connection with the school building, a sports hall with activity area of 23x44 m shall be constructed. Both buildings shall be connected to the two existing buildings constructed in 2008-2009. The contract also includes some reconstruction of existing gymnasium and locker rooms in the basement of the personnel building.
The foundation for the contractor’s construction works are given in book 2.1: descriptions with drafts. In order to carry out the project, a large part of the existing school must be demolished. In this area, the new school wing shall be constructed. This wing shall mainly be in 1 level, but with main access in 2 levels connected to the existing building. The sports hall will be situated on the lower level and shall have separate access in 2 levels.
The sports hall will be placed against building C - the administration building.
In the lower area football ground and parking area shall be established. There will be foot paths around the entire facility adapted universal design. Some restoration works in the existing building will also be included in the contract. This particularly applies for the administration building, block C.
Note that the school shall be in use with 108 students and 23 teachers during the construction period. They might be sent from the school in periods of up to 3 weeks. Price for excess costs for having the school in use during the construction period shall be given in a separate post. In addition to works for the contractor with requirements regarding safety, the buildings must be secured in such a way that there are established escape routes in case of fire.
