MA2453/11E Framework agreement, encoding and decoding equipment for video and audio contribution

The Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation, henceforth referred to as NRK, invites to an open tender contest for purchase of encoding and decoding equipment for video and audio contribution.
The framework agreement shall mainly be related to professional encoders and decoders of different variants, but also for purchasing other relevant equipment within the contribution area introduced during the agreement period and can be considered natural for this area.
NRK aims at entering into a set of parallel framework agreements, which will involve procurement, support, service and consultancy services for the categories included in the agreement.
NRK cannot estimate or bind oneself to a certain quantity neither for each award category nor for the entire quantity, since the requirement will vary, strongly dependent on the technological development, replacement pace and upgrading/ supplementing requirements during the agreement period. NRK reserves the right to competitive tendering of larger projects in particular.
NRK is planning to enter into framework agreements for procurement of professional encoders and decoders for contribution of video and audio in TV production. NRK will require equipment which complies with NRK’s high quality standards for TV production equipment.
NRK intends to enter into minimum 3 agreements for delivery of the following two equipment categories:
— encoding equipment,
— decoding equipment.
NRK may have different demands for different purposes within the categories. A portfolio of products offering a variation of features is therefore preferred. The agreements shall also arrange for high degree of flexibility and high service level in connection with support and service.
