Norsk rikskringkasting (NRK) invite companies to an open tender competition for the procurement of module distribution and processing equipment for broadcasting signals.
In time with NRK’s renewal of technical installations there will be a different need for modular SDI equipment. Equivalent equipment that falls within this contract was purchased in 2011 for a value of approx. 10 000 000 NOK. NRK cannot bind itself to an exact volume, as the need can vary greatly depending on technological development, replacement and upgrade/supplementary needs in the contract period.
The following two equipment categories are included in the framework agreement:
Category 1: Modular equipment for electrical optic/optical electrical conversion and fibre transport of uncompressed broadcasting signals.
Category 2: Modular equipment for video and sound processing and distribution of uncompressed broadcasting signals.
Tenders can be given for one of the equipment categories or for both. NRK would like to enter into parallel framework agreements with 3 to 6 suppliers within each equipment category.
NRK’s need within the respective product areas and services shall thus be seen as the current need at when the contract is signed and must not be seen as fixed for the whole of the contract period. The framework agreement shall also be used for the procurement of other and new products that have to be introduced in the contract period and that can naturally be defined as under the contract’s extent.
NRK reserves the right to outsource major projects in the market.
