The Awarding Authority.Agder Energi Nett (the Awarding Authority) is among the four largest energy network companies in Norway and has approx. 7 % of all energy net customers in Norway. This amounts to approx. 180 000 customers. The Awarding Authority is a part of the Agder Energy Group which is Norway’s third largest energy manufacturer. The group is owned by the municipalities in Agder (54, 5 %) and Statkraft Holding (45, 5 %).In addition to be the province’s hydroelectric power manufacturer and supplier of electricity, the group is involved in a number of business areas - mainly areas with close connection to energy. These are wind power, bio energy, district heating, broadband, electro contractor businesses, energy conservation, consultancy services within engineering, measuring and invoicing, debt collection, finance and energy administration, as well as administrative services. For further information of Agder Energi: http://www.ae.no.For further information of Agder Energi Nett: http://www.aenett.no.Background.Agder Energi Nett (AEN) is, with a background as area concessionaire in Agder, obliged to introduce advanced metering and control systems (AMS) in accordance with Regulation “FOR 1999-03-11 no. 301: Regulation regarding measuring, settling and coordinated conduct in connection with sales of energy and invoicing of net services.Requirement for installation of AMS shall be fulfilled within 1.1.2017 and 80 % of the meter points shall be installed within 1.1.2016. Previous calculations of the costs related to the suggested requirements indicate that the costs for Norwegian net companies will be a total of approx. 5 000 000 000 NOK.Later calculations indicate that the costs will be much higher, possibly up to a total of 10 000 000 000 NOK in Norway (the figures includes the net companies internal costs). Estimated value of this procurement is expected to be half of the estimates for AEN and will then be in the range of 175 000 000 - 350 000 000 NOK.Total amount or scope includes potential part works, part deliveries and options.
