Statens Vegvesen will, in 2012, start a new agency programme in ITS (intelligent transport systems) called "Smarter traffic with ITS." An agency programme is a major investment in research and development, and in connection with this it will be necessary to make several purchases of FoU services. We will establish a framework agreement for FoU services for the agency programme "Smarter traffic with ITS." The Public Roads Administration, Department for traffic safety, environment and technology, the ITS section, is award authority for this framework agreement. The scope of projects depends on public funding. Expected turnover for FoU projects, staged by the agency program, in 2012 is 4 - 6 000 000 NOK. The contract period is 1.5.2012 through 5.1.2014, with an option of 1 +1 year prolongation.
This procurement comprises the development and application of technology and evaluation of research projects with the demonstrators. Relevant areas will be traffic engineering, information technology systems, sensors, communications, GNSS, data analysis, databases, video and imaging operations and cooperative systems. The evaluation will include both user assessments and evaluation of traffic impacts of the projects. See also tender documents.
