Felles IKT Nordhordland

Municipalities in Nordhordland: Austrheim, Fedje, Lindås, Masfjorden, Meland, Modalen, Osterøy, Radøy og Vaksdal, have established a common ICT operating company, with Osterøy Municipality as host. Legal agreements will be signed with Osterøy municipality on behalf of IKTNH Common ICT Nordhordland to implement competitive bidding on: Firewall solution.
IKTNH is in the process of centralizing applications and services that are delivered to users in the municipalities. It is now desirable to consider the design of the network for securing access to the services, as well as protection against attack from outside (internet).
The goal is a future-oriented solution prepared for new services, this shall be in the development and IKTNH shall be offered new technologies as they become available and of interest. Functionality will be available under the simplest possible pricing model that does not restrict development, and with the greatest possible integration between different services and technologies.
It must also be required that the solutions will support the deepening cooperation between the municipalities and that it must be scalable in terms of expected growth in computer use in future years.
We require suppliers who actively contribute to achieving all our objectives.
