E6 Harran - Nesbrua, E-3.1 E6 Environmentally friendly street "Miljøgate"

Statens vegvesen Region Mid-Norway, department Nord-Trøndelag, shall build an environmentally friendly street (miljøgate) along the E6 in the centre of Harran. This contract, E-3.1 E6 environmentally friendly street, is one of several contracts within the project E6 Harran - Nesbrua.
An environmentally friendly street shall be built on the stretch from the Fiskumelva in the South to the crossroads at Harran Oppvekstsenter in the North, length 1 200 meters (per 4730-5930). The total width of E6 between curbs is 6,5 meters. The construction project mainly comprises replacement of superstructure on E6, construction of pavements on the Eastern side of the E6, upgrading of existing foot and cycle path on the Western side of the E6, curbstones setting both sides, planting and new lighting. The contract also includes the demolition of an old petrol station building. At the crossroads by Harran Oppvekstsenter a new bus stop shall be built, and outside Harran Kro a further two bus stops shall be established. Two raised pedestrian crossings shall be constructed on the E6, one outside Coop and one at the crossroads by Harran Oppvekstsenter. New drainage and new stormwater system will be built over the whole distance. Existing trees and spruce hedge in front of Harran church shall be removed and be replaced with wooden fence between the pavement and Harran Church to prevent the open view of the cemetery.
