Bane Nett in Jernbaneverket invites interested suppliers to a qualification for a competition for the delivery of specified leased lines products to Bane Nett.
The delivery comprises analogue and digital communication, optical channel and dark fibre as completive services for our own cable connections. Jernbaneverket has a need to ensure stabile and operationally secure communication between a total of approx. 600 locations. This is mainly the 2Mb/s for GSM-R network. Jernbaneverket Bane Nett otherwise uses most types of communication with capacities from 2Mb to 10GIG, electrical and optical interface.

The total contract length is up to 10 years. The contract length is made up of 6 years + 2 years 2 years. Jernbaneverket shall consequently have two options for 2 years.

Begrunnelse for rammeavtaler med varighet over fire år:
Jernbaneverket believes a long contract is justified due to several sides of the procurement and out of particular consideration to the competition.
The hire of the relevant communication forms the basis for the services of, for example, GSM-R and is therefore of decisive importance for running trains. A long period is important in order to avoid the instability that could occur with a change of supplier.

A change of supplier will mean a considerable conversion period and internal use of resources.
There will be considerable establishment costs for a new supplier, so a contract length where the tenderer has the possibility of depreciation and investment over a long period can strengthen the competition.
The contract length including options is 10 years.
