The Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH) will conduct an open tender contest for the purchase of a combined vaccine against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (acellular), Haemophilus influenzae type b and poliomyelitis (DTP-Polio-Hib) for primary immunisation for use in the "Norwegian Childhood Immunisation Programme". The contest will be carried out as an open tender contest, a one-step process, where all interested service providers can submit tenders. Negotiations will not be allowed.
The assignment comprises the delivery of a combined vaccine against diphtheria, tetanus, pertussis (acellular), Haemophilus influenzae type b and poliomyelitis (for primary immunisation: DPT-Hib-Polio) (ATC code: J07CA06) with an estimated number of between 180 000 and 240 000 doses per year for use in the Norwegian Childhood Immunisation programme.
The vaccine shall be offered to infants, in 3 doses, at the ages of 3, 5 and 11-12 months.
The contract is for 2013 and 2014 and is automatically extended by one year at a time for up to two years, unless award authority cancels the contract by 1.7.2014 or 1.7.2015 respectively. Total number of doses for the contract period, including the full option will therefore be from about 720 000 to about 960 000 doses.
