Bergen Light Rail - Contract C11 Råstølen

General description:
— The distance/length between Lagunen and Sandslivegen is approximately 2700 meters,
— Two stops needs to be established, one in Råstølen and one at Sandslivegen. There will be a possibility to establish a rig area in Råstølen,
— Planned startup is august 2013. Handover October 2015,
— A temporary protection (for security reasons) needs to be established to secure construction pits. In addition, natural stonewalls and a concrete wall along the entire stretch of the existing terrain needs to be established,
— The winning contractor assumes responsibility for masses and must keep depots for this,
— Due to the short construction period, it is necessary to have a simultaneously start and work performed in all tunnels,
— There are many other contractors working for Bybanen Utvikling on this project, and the winning contractor needs to relate and coordinate efforts with many other contractors working for Bybanen Utbygging.
Description of the contract:
Lagunen - Råstølen:
The length of Folldalstunnel is 700m including portals. In addition, there will be about 50 meters that needs to be excavated and a portal (cut & cover) needs to be established in Folldalen.
It will be a need for change in traffic for portal just inside Steinsvikveien. There shall be established a drill hole that is approximately 600 meters long (Ø500) from the bottom of the downslope of the tunnel to Apeltunvassdraget.
Råstølen:
The Light Rail comes up to the level of today's road and a stop is to be establishment at Råstølen. A long culvert needs to be built to protect vulnerable road users (pedestrians and bicycle users). There will be residential development by other operators in the area.
Steinsviktunnelen:
Steinsviktunnelen is about 570 meters long, with low cover, including a 120-meter portal. There shall be established a drainage from Råstølen (Ø900mm) under the tracks.
Steinsvikbroen:
Steinsvikbroen has a length of about 50 meters with 2 spans (tensions). The bridge is tensioned. Steel is to be used as a foundation in the bridge. The cutting against/towards Steinsviktunnelen is demanding with much sheet piling as it is in a confined area with a lot of loose masses. The area around the bridge requires some rearranging of traffic.
Solheitunnelen:
Solheitunnelen has a length of approximately 600 meters with low cover when crossing Sandslivegen, comprising of approximately a 120 meters waterproof construction (cut & cover) in Petedalsmyra where the light railway is about 10 meters below current level.
Sandslivegen stop:
There shall be established stop at Sandslivegen and a new access to the Statoil building. Due to this, a large scale of infrastructure must be reorganized.
