Bergen University has given an assignment letter to the joint owners of Nygård School to begin the planning process with the object of incorporating the space programme, of January 2011, into Nygård School.
The joint owners of Nygård School consist of Nygårdshøyden Eiendom AS and Magør Eiendom AS, who each own their own section of the building.
The procurement deals with recognition of the Grieg Academy's future functions in Lars Hilles gt. 3 / Nina Grieg Street 2-4-6.
Architect and any user co-ordinator shall work with a work/project group with musical and building expertise.
The object of the procurment is to link expertise in the architectural profession and associated support functions so that the joint owners can undertake an effetive and land use analysis in an efficient and rational way, based on the space programme developed by Bergen University, dated Jan 2011. Furthermore, this work shall be illustrated by a sketch with associated cost estimate. The object is also to safeguard the building's heritage and the provisions set forth in conservation decisions and PBL's claims to universal design, energy solutions, etc.
A calculation shall be prepared of the project connected to the sketch phase.
Tenders shall also give options for:
1) function as user co-ordinator,
2) detailed design of lifts.
