Analyser instrument for HPV diagnostics

The University Hospital of North Norway henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, requests tenders for test reagents, henceforth referred to as analyser platform, for HPB diagnostics which shall be used for secondary screening in connection with mass examinations of cervix cancer. Approx. 1 000-2 000 tests per annum are expected to be taken.
The instrument shall also be used in connection with research and development works for HPV related problems. Among other things, a major research project with HPV testing as a part of primary screening is planned to be implemented in Health Region North.
Such a project will result in considerable requirements for analyses, and the analyser platform’s suitability and price in relation to such project will be considered in connection with assessment of tenders.
The Awarding Authority will also allow for options for expansion with a view to use of the platform in connection with HPV primary screening.
The Awarding Authority therefore requests documentation showing options and costs in relation to expansion of capacity to 20 000-30 000 tests per annum, as well as prices for reagents and consumables associated with analyses of 20 000 tests per annum.
The Awarding Authority also requires investments in relation to instrumentation for molecular pathological analyses. Due to investments and operations, it will be an advantage that the platform is “open”. I.e can be used for molecular genetic diagnostics of oncological markers beyond HPV testing.
This is not a mandatory requirement, but it will be highly regarded in connection with assessment of tenders (user friendliness and functionality).
