The Awarding Authority has over a long period worked systematically with documentation of results, reporting routines, analyses and follow up in order to increase each student’s/apprentice’s benefits from learning. The Education Agency (the Awarding Authority) has obtained experience which has resulted in establishment of a comprehensive system for strategic management, quality assessment/development and reporting. The Awarding Authority will require new and improved ICT support for this comprehensive system.
Included in the comprehensive system for quality assessment is also the department’s electronic system for publication of information of results and use of resources related to each school “Results and facts in the Oslo school”, former referred to as the Quality portal (available at the Education Agency’s internet sites). The existing system was established in 2004.
The procurement includes developing and commissioning of an ICT system for support of the Education Agency’s processes for strategic planning and follow up of control information, as well as publication of results and facts for the Oslo schools.
The solution is expected to comprise of various standard tools and systems for realisation of a database with various facts information, quantitative performance measurements and results as well as flexible reporting options and various support functions for work processes in connection with strategic planning in the agency. An important part of the system is an open portal which in a dynamic, attractive and user friendly manner provides the Oslo schools’ results attention from the general public.
The procurement also includes a maintenance agreement which will involve software maintenance, administration, support and development of the system. The Education Agency will be responsible for the operation of the system. It is a paramount objective that the open portal shall be launched in April 2013 and that a complete system shall be in operation within 1.1.2014.
