The procurement is valid from and including the 2012 edition of Norwegian Laws which are published in 2013. The Body of Laws shall be published annually.
Publication of the Norwegian Laws includes the following sub-assignments:
— Printing and binding of the Body of Laws after the Lovdata foundation has delivered finished coded script electronically to the publishing firm,
— Storage and distribution for sale in accordance with the Awarding Authority’s instructions,
— Marketing (information, advertising, sales),
— Accountancy and payments in connection with production, including i.a. fees and expenses to editorial staff and note authors, tax deduction and employers' national insurance contributions as well as payment of royalties to the Lovdata foundation and transfer of profit to the Awarding Authority,
— Contact with the editorial staff,
— Dispatch of free copies.

The Faculty of Law at the University of Oslo has established the Faculty of Law’s body of laws foundation (“Lovsamlingsfondet”), which has the disposal of the right of the Norwegian Laws. Hyppighet av kontraktene som skal tildeles:
Approx. 20 000 copies of the Norwegian Laws per edition. Maximum 4 editions shall be published (publication includes printing, binding, storage, distribution, marketing, accounting/payments and contact with the editorial staff).

The agreement involves 2 publications of the body of laws with option for further 1+1 publication(s) of the body of laws. Maximum agreement period of publications of a total of 4 subsequent publications of the body of laws. This means that the maximum agreement period is a little more than 4 years in total, and this is necessary as it is difficult to change supplier during publication period as long as a certain publication edition is in progress.
