The Norwegian Institute of Public Health shall hold an open tender competition for the procurement of a combination vaccination against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough (acellular) and polio (dTP-polio) for booster vaccinations for use in the Norwegian childhood immunisation programme.
The competition will be an open tender competition, a one stage process where all interested suppliers can give a tender. Negotiations are not allowed.
The contract is for the delivery of a combination vaccination against diphtheria, tetanus, whooping cough (acellular) and polio (low dose: dTP-polio) (ATC code:J07CA02) with an estimated amount of from 60 000 doses to 120 000 doses per calendar year for use in the childhood immunisation programme. The vaccine shall be used for booster vaccinations (low dose) against the mentioned diseases and shall normally be offered to children who are 15-17 years old (in the 10th year at school). The contract is for 2013 and 2014 and will automatically be extended for one year at a time for up to two years, unless the Norwegian Institute of Public Health gives notice on the contract by 1.7.2014 or 1.7.2015 respectively. The total number of doses for the contract period with the full extension of the contract period will thus be from approx. 240 000 doses to approx. 480 000 doses.
