Quality assurance of extension plans for Alnabru freight terminal

There are plans to renew and extend Alnabru freight terminal (rail freight) in Oslo. The Ministry of Transport and Communications has requested The Norwegian National Rail Administration (Jernbaneverket) to further investigate the central premises for the present extension plans.
The supplier shall review and quality assure the evaluations and recommendations in The Norwegian National Rail Administration’s ongoing study. The Norwegian National Rail Administration’s will complete the review before 1.1.2012.
The supplier shall quality assure the following conditions:
— Review of the alternatives which have been investigated at Alnabru, including an evaluation of the investigation and planning process.
— Evaluation of the alternatives for the extension given different levels of ambition for the future capacity.
— Evaluation of the most suitable implementation strategy.
— Evaluation of the possibility for and consequences of establishing a police helicopter base and more in the Alnabru area.
