Procurement of inspection and work vessels
The Norwegian Coastal Administration, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, shall procure inspections and works vessels for use in connection with the national preparedness against acute pollution. The vessels shall be located at the Norwegian State’ oil protection depots. The vessels will be used in connection with national operations against acute oil pollution and in connection with exercises.
The vessels shall function as inspection vessels in waters in proximity of the coast, skerries, etc., and in connection with registration of mark-up and mapping of the extent of the pollution. The vessels shall also carry light oil protection equipment, waste and personnel. The vessel may also be used in connection with towing and management of light timber booms and equivalent equipment.
The procurement shall contribute to:
— Reduce the gap between actual stocks and recommended material level,
— Replace old material when this is necessary due to operative accessibility.
The procured material shall therefore be an appropriate combination of re-investment in order to replace the old material, and new investment.
