Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (hereinafter referred to as NRK) invites you to apply for qualification in a competition with negotiations on the further development of the regional DAB radio transmission network. Currently, Norkring owns and operates the regional transmission networks that covers approx. 80 % of the population. 29 of the transmitters in operation is defined as "the main transmitters. In total there are 47 main transmitters in Norway, and all of the transmission units are owned by Norkring / Telenor. NRK rent this service. NRK wish to proceed with the extension of the regional DAB network in such a way that by establishing DAB transmitters on the remaining main transmitter points (18 sites), creates a solid baseline coverage and which also includes satisfactory coverage at sea. With this acquisition, NRK will negotiate with suppliers to establish an agreement for optimal use of the shared infrastructure.
