In accordance with the “Regulations on procurement rules in the supply sectors”, Nordkraft invites suppliers to a tender contest for the design and execution of a new office building. The procurement is carried out as a negotiated tender contest and turnkey contract. See NS 3431.
The construction site is located on Nordkraft’s existing property at the Teknologpark (technology park) in Narvik. At present there is a cold storage building on the construction site, demolition of this is included in the turnkey contract.
The joint area requirement is approx. 3 100 m2. The actual requirements are 95 offices, in addition to other functions such as meeting rooms, cafeteria, lobby, locker rooms, etc. The building site is approximately 1 375 m2 which means that the building must be multi-story. During the planning phase a sketch project has been created which outlines 7 floors in addition to the basement. The sketch is attached to this document and shall be used as a guideline for further planning of the building.
Narvik Municipality has granted an exemption to the construction of new office buildings. The appeal deadline for the decision expires in week 43. An application for demolition of the cold storage has been initiated so that demolition and preparatory work on the site can be implemented as soon as possible. Turnkey contractor will take over the role as a responsible applicant and is responsible for all necessary approvals from public authorities.
The access road between the construction site and existing office building shall be open during the construction period. Sheet piling must be carried out on the road, to safeguard the road during the construction stage.
The turnkey contractor shall be the HSE coordinator for the design, and must follow the duties in accordance with the Byggherreforskrift (health, safety, and working environment on construction sites). Clerk of works shall be the HSE coordinator for the execution of the contractual work.
Site visit/tender conference will be held on 4.11.2011 at 13:00. Registration in accordance with tender documents.
