Forbrukerrådet

The market portal for dental services shall be an internet based service where consumers shall be able to search treatment offers and prices at dentists in Norway, get information on such treatment and the level of service of the personnel who carry out the treatment. The Consumer Council shall develop, own and run the portal.

The market portal shall obtain information from, among other places, the dentist's office systems. The idea is to do this with web services technology where the data is sent through Norsk Helsenett. Parallel with the desk top version, the new system shall also publish a separate mobile version adapted to internet browsers for more advanced mobile telephones ("smart phones"). The price comparison, in the form of a "barometer" / "calulator" shall also be able to be published in an iframe on third party websites. It shall be possible to undertake some simple formatting (size, fonts, colour) with the help of the parameters in the address line. 15 RSS feeds with dental prices shall be produced. These are to be updated daily. User experience/user interface will be an important part of the delivery. (NT Ref:238541).
