A contract is wanted for data collection for KRD’s organisation database, as well as for working out a report based on the collected data. The aim of the project is to bring forward data which gives a picture of how municipalities and counties organise their activities politically, administratively, operationally and as regards inhabitants, the municipality as a democratic institution.
The data from the survey shall be used in general debates on society, in teaching and as a basis for further research on municipal organisation.
The data collection will be made by a questionnaire being sent out to all the country’s municipalities and county authorities.

The preparation of the data collection and the data collection shall be carried out in the period from 15.8.2011 to 1.12.2012. The project has an estimated cost limit of 600 000 NOK including VAT in 2011 and 1 400 000 NOK including VAT in 2012. These are estimates and not binding for the awarding authority.KRD would like an option for additional procurements for carrying out an analysis in 2013 and 2014 on the basis of the data collection. The estimated cost limit for the option is 400 000 NOK including VAT in 2013 and 300 000 NOK including VAT in 2014.The contract is subject to the Norwegian parliament awarding the necessary resources for the survey.
