Ruter As currently has 130 employees. The IT Division consistes of 20 personnel of whom 17 work with the electronic ticketing system while 3 work with general IT.
Ruter As has approximately 25 locations (bus depots) in Oslo and Akershus in connection with the ticket system where there are local installations (servers and pcs) for which the operation provider will also be responsible.
The service will consist of front line support and some peripheral equipment,
Ruter operate their own applications, for example, ticket system and route planning system, while the operation provider manages the office mainframe. Hosting of servers and operation of software such as operating system, middleware and virus software will be transferred to the operation provider. The operating agreement will comprise operation of hardware as servers, portable and fixed pcs together with thin clients. The same applies for many of the communication lines including hubs, switches and routers.
