IDR 13/2011 - Engineering design group for construction of Åsland shooting range

The Agency for Sports Facilities, the Awarding Authority, shall construct a new shooting range tunnel and a marksman house situated at Åsland. These 2 elements shall be integrated by use of culvert. Areas outside the facility shall also be developed. The Awarding Authority has planned shooting ranges with lengths of 50 m, 100 m, and 200 m, respectively.
The tunnel is planned with a length of 200 metres, width of 15 metres and a total height of 15 metres. The club house with joint functions over 2 floors has a total area of 290 m², whilst the stands and shooting range-related areas are over 4 floors with a total area of 316 m². The Awarding Authority wishes to enter into a contract with an engineering design group which shall follow the project from frame application to completion. The assignment will include engineering design for all disciplines in connection with presenting the project materials in accordance with the Awarding Authority’s definition for Åsland shooting range. The project materials which shall include drawings, work specifications, quantity calculations and specifications shall constitute a precise, complete and adequate foundation for applications, tender calculations, agreement documents and implementation.
The engineering design group shall be responsible applicant and projecting party for all involved disciplines. The assignment also includes follow-up during the implementation phase with preparation of commissioning permission application for tunnel and participation in construction meetings, user meetings, inspections and take-over, as well as collection and control of administration, operation and maintenance material for all disciplines and follow-up of functional conditions during the claim period.
The engineering design group shall also contain a geologist on hand specimen which is an important function during the tunnel works. It is expected that the engineering design group’s participant for this field has the necessary competence for this job. Tenders shall be given for an engineering design group with participants who can safeguard all disciplines necessary in connection with the engineering design of Åsland shooting range.
