IDR 09/2011 - Construction manager for construction of Åsland shooting range

The Agency for sports facilities, the Awarding Authority, shall construct a new shooting range tunnel and a marksman house situated at Åsland. These 2 elements shall be integrated by use of culvert. Areas outside the facility shall also be developed. The Awarding Authority has planned shooting ranges with lengths of 50 m, 100 m, and 200 m, respectively.
The tunnel is planned with a length of 200 metres, width of 15 metres and a total height of 15 metres. The club house with joint functions over 2 floors has a total area of 290 m², whilst the stands and shooting range-related areas are over 4 floors with a total area of 316 m². The Awarding Authority wishes to enter into a contract with 1 construction manager who shall represent the Awarding Authority and the Awarding Authority’s interests. During the entire construction process, the construction manager shall act on behalf of the Awarding Authority at the construction site and towards other participating parties or parties that are influenced by the project.
The construction manager shall mainly ensure that the construction works, materials and documentation are in accordance with the construction contract’s specifications. The construction manager shall participate in construction meetings, present regular reports, progress planning and management, attestation of time/material lists, participate in site inspections (control, completion, take-over, claims, etc.) and keep the minutes from these.
The construction manager shall also keep the project administrative handbook up-to-date (so-called PA book). See the attached performance description, Annex 1.
