Framework agreement, short-term hire vehicles (rental car)

Oslo Police District, henceforth referred to as the Awarding Authority, shall renew the framework agreement regarding short-term hire of vehicles. This means up to one year hire from the supplier’s own car fleet.
The vehicles will mainly be used in connection with police operative assignments as a supplement to own car fleet. The vehicles that are used in connection with police operative assignments are usually hired for a couple of months. The vehicles are also hired for a short period in connection with state visits/major events, official journeys, and requirements for mini buses etc.
The agreement shall be entered into as a parallel agreement between several car suppliers which may have a couple of days delivery time, and with one supplier who will be responsible for delivery of vehicles immediately or on short notice. The Awarding Authority wishes to enter into a parallel agreement in order to ensure a wide range of suitable vehicles.
The Awarding Authority will enter into negotiations with up to 5 suppliers. If more than 5 suppliers are qualified, the selection for participation in negotiations will be based on the relevance in the stated references and presence in the Oslo area. The agreement period is 4 years, starting from 1.10.2011. Major confidentiality in connection with which vehicles shall be used by the Police is required.
